You’ll find a little of everything in Southern New Hampshire. Coffee Houses, Blues Jams, Open Mics (almost the same as a blues jam, but rarer, and different), Pay to Play venues, Big, noisy rooms and Small, Intimate venues. You can have a meal and be seranaded by a player or two in the corner – and that player might be playing original tunes. There really is something for everyone, if you just know where to look.
That’s where I come in. I’ll check out the venue and the artists, and give you an idea of what they’re like. I’m not going to review food, or drinks – but I will tell you what the room is like. I won’t rip apart any performers – the world is mean enough already, but I will tell you about their unique qualities and why you might want to give them a listen.
I’m excited to start this blog!
Here’s how you can join me on this trip:
Tell me about local musicians you enjoy so I can check them out and write about them.
Tell me about great rooms for local music – owners that hire musicians are a bigger part of the local music scene than you might realize!
Go out and hear singers, players and bands – they want to play for you!
Peace,
Cat
